Katy Perry's First Role of the Day

Katy Perry’s First Role of the Day: Katy Perry recently tweeted a photo of herself in costume for her stint on the Fox sitcom Raising Hope.

The pop tart will play Rikki, a prison guard who says she’s an old friend of Shannon Woodward’s character Sabrina. In the episode, Sabrina is arrested for joining an Occupy Natesville protest.

“A couple of weeks ago, I was home, just toasting up a frozen chicken fillet when Shannon called me up and asked if I wanted to do something ‘fun’ for a change and try out a guest role on her TV show,” Perry told Entertainment Weekly. ”I thought, sure, I have nothing else to do, and I like chillin’ with my best friend.”

Creator Greg Garcia quickly agreed to having Perry on the show when he found out Woodward and the singer were best friends in real life.

The Raising Hope episode is entitled “Single White Female” and will air March 6th on Fox.

Rich And Famous Real Estate of the Day

Rich And Famous Real Estate of the Day: Former X Factor judge Paula Abdul is putting her Sherman Oaks home on the market for $1.9 million.

The Mediterranean-style abode features the very same driveway that forced Abdul to shell out $900,000 in order to settle a lawsuit, and is only blocks away from where a fan of Abdul’s overdosed and died in 2008.

If you can overlook the home’s unlucky history, the 4,679-square-foot abode is available. It boasts gorgeous canyon views, a double staircase, a media room, oversized fireplaces, and French doors that lead to a private patio and pool.

Take the tour after the jump.

Lindsay Lohan Post-Court Party of the Day: Just a few hours after receiving the thumbs up from Judge Stephanie Sautner in court, Lindsay Lohan was back out to hit a pre-Oscars party in Los Angeles.

The actress is nearing the end of her community service and court-mandated therapy sessions, but it seems all that work hasn’t convinced her to relinquish her hard-partying lifestyle (or that trashy hair color).

She’s set to play Elizabeth Taylor in a new Lifetime biopic as long as she keeps herself on the right side of the law, and on March 3rd she’ll be hosting Saturday Night Live.

Lohan’s upcoming projects will probably say a lot about where her career is headed. Do you think she’s set for a comeback?

    More pictures after the jump.

    Clueless Reunion of the Day

Clueless Reunion of the Day: Cher Horowitz and Elton are getting an onscreen reunion almost two decades after they appeared together in the classic teen movie Clueless.

Alicia Silverstone will be appearing on Jeremy Sisto’s new show, Suburgatory, for a four episode arc. Silverstone will play a love interest for her former castmate, who now portrays the father of a teenage girl on the hit ABC comedy.

“We were good friends back in the day so it’s been really nice to personally reconnect and meet her baby and to hear stories about her life over the last 10 years,” said Sisto.

He adds that of course they’ll be playing different characters, but how could the writers not include a subtle nod to their Beverly Hills history? Sisto himself suggested there be some ”‘Rollin’ With the Homies’ action.”

First Oasis and Blur bury the hatchet, and now a Clueless reunion? I think the 90′s can finally rest in peace.

Hugging It Out of the Day: Blur’s Damon Albarn and former Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher shared a loving embrace after the recent Brit Awards, despite the bitter Britpop rivalry their bands engaged in during the 90′s.

“It’s funny to think Blur were last here 17 years ago when we were big rivals,” Albarn told the Evening Standard. “Isn’t it funny how we’ve both mellowed after all these years? We’ve buried the hatchet.”

Indeed, both frontmen have spoken in the press about leaving the bad blood between their bands behind. In NME, Albarn said he had a beer with Gallagher last year, and described the former Oasis member as someone with “great charisma.”

Gallagher and Albarn both performed at last weekend’s awards ceremony, and Blur took home the Outstanding Contribution award. Gallagher was nominated in the Best Male Solo Artist category, but failed to walk away with the honor.

Watch their Brit Award performances after the jump.

David Wain Q&A of the Day

David Wain Q&A of the Day: Writer-director David Wain participated in a Reddit “Ask Me Anything” feature, and answered fan questions on everything from the Wet Hot American Summer sequel to The State and Stella.

Most importantly, he confirmed that a sequel to Wet Hot American Summer is definitely happening. He and Michael Showalter are working on it now, and the original cast will be returning. Unfortunately, the storyline is still a secret.

He also shared one of his most awkward showbusiness moments, which occurred when he met one of his idols, Cameron Crowe.

“He was/is my all time hero esp for doing Fast Times and Say Anything,” wrote Wain. ”I sent him my short film and he wrote me a great note about it. Then when I was working at MTV, maybe 21 years old, he tracked me down to say hi in the office, and I was super stand-off-ish to him – FOR WHAT REASON I HAVE NO IDEA! I will always regret it.”

Wain went on to answer questions about projects such as Party Down, Children’s Hospital, and the episode of The New Girl he recently directed.

Over The Line? of the Day

Crossing The Line? of the Day: Earlier this week, supermarket tabloid The National Enquirer published a photo on their cover of Whitney Houston in her casket, sparking outrage from critics and fans who believe the paper stepped over the line.

The photo, under the headline “Whitney: The Last Photo! Inside Her Private Viewing,” shows the iconic singer inside an open casket, wearing a deep purple dress with a broach and earrings.

The latest issue of the tabloid has caused many to wonder who took the photo at the Whigham Funeral Home, considering the pains Houston’s family went through to keep her memorial service and funeral private.

Some are suggesting the photo could be fake, but no one from Houston’s family has come forward to speak about it. The picture is not attributed to a photographer, so it remains unclear who is responsible for the photo, and even worse, who may have profited from it.

In any case, publishing last photos is nothing new for The National Enquirer. In 1977, it published a picture of Elvis Presley in his casket, and did the same after John Lennon was assassinated.

What do you think? Did the tabloid go too far? Leave you thoughts in the comments.

Biggest Loser's Big Loss of the Day

Biggest Loser’s Big Loss of the Day: NBC’s The Biggest Loser is currently dealing with the biggest backlash.

Production on the reality weight loss series has reportedly stalled, due to a walkout by the remaining contestants. The competitors allegedly felt it was unfair to bring back eliminated players and give them a chance to snatch the $250,000 prize.

According to PhillyBurbs.com, the walkout comes before contestants make it to the Final Four, and after makeovers, a meeting with Michelle Obama, and a trip to Hawaii.

The show, known for its dramatic twists and turns, has had a tense season so far, and it seems not even trainer Bob Harper is on board with the direction of Season 13.

Harper told Radar that he liked very few of the people on the show, and summed up the season by calling it nasty. ”They hate me saying that but it’s like you know what? It’s true. It’s nasty and it’s tough.”

He named a few of the players that he enjoyed working with, and then called the rest of the contestants “bullies.”

Production of the show has allegedly shut down for at least a week while producers figure out how to get the series back on track.

Paris Hilton’s New Song of the Day: Paris Hilton has released a new song and video entitled “Drunk Text,” which features the celebutante baby talking her way through a mundane story about drunken sexting.

The only explanation for this horrendous assault on our ears and eyes is that Hilton hates music, and she wants us to hate it too.

Premiere Faux Pas of the Day: Zac Efron, who provides the voice for a character in Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax, was on the orange carpet for the premiere when a condom accidentally fell out of his pocket.

The actor quickly picked it up, and mouthed “Oh my god” to his publicist. The interesting part is that after picking it up, he continued to search the carpet in case he had missed anything.

How many rubbers do you need to take to the premiere of a Dr. Seuss film, Zac?
