Weekend Awards Show Recap of the Day

Weekend Awards Shows of the Day: Awards season is in full swing, and this weekend was home to both the Screen Actors Guild Awards and the Directors Guild of America Awards.

The Artist is continuing to rack up a number of honors this year, including a DGA Outstanding Director of the Year Award for Michel Hazanavicius, and Outstanding Performance By A Male Actor for Jean Dujardin at the SAG Awards.

The Help’s Octavia Spencer and Beginners’ Christopher Plummer won SAG’s Supporting Actress/Actor category, while the casts of Modern Family and Boardwalk Empire (above) were honored with ensemble awards.
