Wilco And Popeye Collab of the Day: Grammy Award-winning alt-rock band Wilco have joined forces with King Features’ Popeye for a new comic strip and video.
The band appeared in last Sunday’s Popeye comic by Frank Caruso and Ned Sonntag, and the sailor is featured in a new animated video for Wilco’s song “Dawned On Me.”
The video, animated by Peach Blossom Media, was directed by fashion designer Darren Romanelli.
Between Popeye’s Wilco partnership and Olive Oyl’s work with fashion brand Moschino, these two might be the coolest couple in animation.
