Rap Reunion of the Day: This summer, risqué hip-hop group 2 Live Crew will be reuniting for their first tour since disbanding in 1998.
“We’re going to perform the songs and everybody’s going to be excited,” said MC Luther Campbell. ”Some of the older people of our generation will be able to tell their kids, ‘You’re staying home tonight, we’re going to see 2 Live Crew and shake our booty!’”
The rap collective gained fame and fortune in the 90′s for controversial songs like “Me So Horny.” In fact, their third album, As Nasty As They Wanne Be, was ruled legally obscene by a U.S. District Court in Florida.
No official dates have been announced yet, but I’m guessing Luke would suggest you prepare to shake your booty.
