Comedic Assistance of the Day: This weekend at the Sundance Film Festival, Cuba Gooding Jr. jumped onstage with Aziz Ansari as the opener was getting booed by an audience waiting for a tardy Drake to show up.
“Hey, hey, yo! Cuba Gooding!” announced the actor as he jumped on stage and scolded the audience for talking during the comedian’s set.
“I really don’t care that much, Cuba Gooding Jr., but thank you very much,” responded the Parks and Recreation star. Gooding then said: “Black people, we gotta stick together, Aziz.”
“That’s right, Cuba Gooding Jr. Cedric the Entertainer will be up here making different points as well,” retorted Ansari.
After Gooding suggested the comedian was finally making the audience laugh, Ansari acknowledged his own comedic talent, and added: ”but I’m not as hilarious as Boat Trip. If they were showing that, everybody would be laughing.”
