Awkward TV Moment of the Day: Last night on Watch What Happens Live, a caller mistook Community star Yvette Nicole Brown for actress Octavia Spencer.
Caller Ashley from Milwaukee first thanked the late night crew for having her on TV, and proceeded to compliment Brown on her Golden Globe-winning performance in The Help.
Brown, who was also on the show with Sherri Shepherd (which probably complicated things further for Ashley), politely replied “Oh, it was great to watch The Help because I wasn’t in it.”
The Community star then listed the other black actresses in Hollywood that are constantly confused for each other.
As Brown put it, “Oh, Ashley.”
