Coolest Nomination of the Day: Raise your hand if this is any sort of surprise.
After TIME magazine elected “The Protestor” as Person of the Year, columnist Joel Stein took it upon himself to elect an “of the year” of his own.
Stein crowned Ryan Gosling with the achievement of being this year’s “coolest.”
Between his ever-presence in the box-office, very meme-friendly face, and suave street-style, it’s no surprise Gosling has gotten at least a semi-official nod.
Stein went on to say that if Bradley Cooper fans feel the need to protest this title (much like Gosling fans did when People gave “Sexiest Man Alive” honors to Cooper), he identified the best corner by the magazine’s headquarters to air their grievances.
