Kardashian Divorce Follow Up of the Day: Now that Kim Kardashian’s rumored split from Kris Humphries has been confirmed, the official divorce papers have been obtained by TMZ.
According to the papers, Kardashian wants each party to take care of their own court fees. She also wants the court to block any move Humphries makes to get spousal support. It also lists the length of the marriage as a paltry two months.
The couple have been officially married for 72 days, and the E! special of their $10 million wedding only aired a few weeks ago (as E! politely reminds us above).
According to TMZ, a source close to the couple says they couldn’t come to terms on where they would settle down after the big wedding. Humphries was reportedly set on the two living in his native Minnesota, and Kardashian apparently wasn’t keen on leaving Los Angeles.
Kardashian released a statement to E! News:
After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage. I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision. I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don’t work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best.
